According to Pitchfork, addressing his sexuality, Lil Nas X told BBC Breakfast he doesn’t have “anything to hide” from fans.
“I kind of revealed [it],” he told the interviewers of his recent tweets.
Asked what he had revealed, he responded, “That I am gay.”
“It’s something I was considering never doing, ever. Taking to the grave. But I don’t wanna live my entire life—especially how I got to where I’m at—not doing what I wanna do.”
X went on to say homosexuality is “not really accepted in either the country [or] hip-hop communities,” but that he hoped he was “opening doors” for people.

Lil Nas X came out as gay last weekend after making a surprise appearance with Miley Cyrus at Glastonbury.
Lil Nas X has proved to be a deft spokesman for himself and the LGBT community. After receiving thousands of homophobic and threatening messages on social media, X responded: “Next nigga to say something offensive to me getting kissed.”
