The latest Des Moines Register/CNN poll reports Bernie Sanders saw a surge and now leads the Democratic field in Iowa. With 23 days until the Iowa Caucuses begin on February 3—great news for the Sanders campaign and young progressives who back him.
Sanders leads with 20%, Warren with 17%, Buttigieg with 16%, and Biden with 15%.
The lead is a first for Sanders who lost the state by a razor thin margin back in 2016.
