Zack Snyder’s like the Tupac of superhero movie directors. He keeps dropping footage and teasers of things cut by Warner Bros. from 2017’s Justice League, suggesting that there is a “Snyder Cut” of the movie in the can somewhere.

Two weeks ago we showed you an image of Prince Uxas of Apokolips (aka Darkseid) that Zack Snyder had revealed and talked about the line that gave us chills in the very first Comic-Con trailer (below). “No Protectors here. No Lanterns. No Kryptonian. This world will fall.. like all the others.”

The line was recorded and part of a story sequence that saw a young Prince Uxas of Apokolips (Darkseid) go toe to toe with Ares.

Well now Snyder has given us a clearer picture and he looks pretty damn cool. Who else wants a Snyder Cut of Justice League?!

With Ava DuVernay now at the helm of the Fourth World properties that include the New Gods and Darkseid it seems unlikely she would revisit Snyder’s designs.

But crazier things have happened.

Last year when it was announced i09 said: “DuVernay will helm New Gods—based on Jack Kirby’s legendary pantheon of gods created in the ‘70s for DC Comics that includes characters like Darkseid, Orion, Mister Miracle, Big Barda, and more. Of course, this won’t be the first time that the DC movieverse has dipped into Kirby’s creations—after all Steppenwolf, one of Darkseid’s lieutenants, and his quest for the all-powerful Mother Boxes were a driving part of last year’s Justice League movie. DuVernay sneakily acknowledged the news on social media while accepting a thanks from Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins about A Wrinkle in Time, promising to “look forward to seeing [her] around the block soon:”
