Why Are Young Americans Embracing Socialism? WATCH

The Daily Show with Trevor Noah‘s youth correspondent, Jaboukie Young-White talks to young people and Senator Bernie Sanders to find out why socialism isn’t the taboo it once was.

White went to Washington Square Park to talk to some young people about Democratic Socialism and then to D.C. to talk to the “world’s oldest” millennial, Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont.

“Democratic Socialism looks pretty fine on Tinder profile, but are we going to vibe in real life?” Jaboukie Young-White.

“Wow I can have my CBD cake and eat it too,” White says after Sanders explains the difference between Democratic Socialism and totalitarian governments that purported to be socialist like the Soviet Union or Venezuela. After “feeling the Bern,” White presents the following meme to sum up American youths’ feelings toward socialism.
