Warner Bros. Just Released the Opening Scene to ‘Wonder Woman 1984’—WATCH

Share

Warner Bros. dropped the opening scene to the highly anticipated Wonder Woman 1984 Wednesday.

1984, a sequel to 2017’s Wonder Woman, picks up with the titular hero in you guessed it, 1984, but also includes multiple flashbacks to the hero’s childhood on Themyscira.

WW84‘s release date, originally scheduled for June, was delayed multiple times due to the Coronavirus pandemic and the closing of multiple national movie theater chains resulting in the studio’s decision to premiere the movie on both HBO Max and theaters Christmas Day.

Wonder Woman 1984 reunites cast members Gal Gadot (Princess Diana/Diana Prince/Wonder Woman) and Chris Pine (Steve Trevor), with returning director Patty Jenkins, and Kirsten Wiig as her longtime comic-book nemesis Dr. Barbara Minerva/Cheetah.
