WandaVision’s ‘Agatha All Along’ Nominated for a Grammy

“Agatha All Along,” the theme song of Agatha Harkness from Disney+’s WandaVision has been nominated for a Grammy award.

The song already won an Emmy back in August.

Kathryn Hahn’s portrayal of the survivor of the Salem witch trial, Agnes/Agatha Harkness, struck a chord rarely seen in this genre. Hahn has already said that she improved and added innuendo to the role creating something rarely seen on a genre show.

The nomination comes a week after Marvel announced that Agatha Harkness would be returning in her own show next year on Disney+.

Back in June Hahn told Vanity Fair that she felt “a sense of freedom” while on the show’s set.

“And I’ll never forget being pitched the show by Matt Shakman, the director, and Jac Schaeffer, the writer, because I was, like, ‘This is so incredible, what you guys are proposing,’ ‘I’m so flabbergasted that this can exist in the MCU.’”

“In terms of whatever rules I thought would be in place and whatever preconceived notions I had of Marvel, that just went out the window,” Hahn revealed. “So of course, I was in an ’80s outfit, making sex jokes — that makes total sense in this world.”

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said that casting Hahn was a happy accident. “It was a rare general meeting, which we don’t usually have a lot of time to do, but Kathryn came in and sat down with Luis D’Esposito,” Feige recalled. “At exactly that same time, we were sitting in that writer’s room trying to think of who to play Agnes. It probably took five seconds for somebody to say, ‘Wait, what about Kathryn? She was in yesterday.’”
