Tom Holland Got Shredded and Emotional on ‘No Way Home’

Share

Tom Holland just wrapped shooting No Way Home in Atlanta and says he plans on taking a break for a few months.

But not before revealing in an Instagram story on Friday how he got so swole. Holland sans shirt posed with his personal trainer Duffy Gaver after their last session together. Holland wrote: “I never post shit like this but it’s our last day so f**k it. Thank you @duffygaver for making everything about this job better. Love you pal.”

Holland’s latest movie Cherry premiered on AppleTV this week to critical acclaim. The drama which reunites the star with Avengers directors the Russo Brothers follows Cherry (Holland) as he moves from college dropout to army medic to drug addict to bank robber, all while being anchored by his true love Emily (Ciara Bravo).

He’ll also be seen next year in the long-awaited Uncharted movie, where he plays treasure hunter Nathan Drake.

Holland has been hyping the size and scale of the upcoming third installment of the franchise. Holland also revealed he had to get super emotional for one scene in particular, saying: “Sometimes crying can be really easy and sometimes crying can be really difficult. The other day we were doing a scene in Spider-Man 3 and I could just turn it on. [Snaps.] I was like, ‘This is amazing. If I could do this every time, this would be glorious.’ And then other times you try and cry and you just can’t.”

Holland’s comments come from a video he did with British GQ about his career, and his role in Cherry. Eventually the conversation turned to crying on camera, and the difficulties that can come with that particular task. And while it’s not always the case, Holland was able to tap into an emotional place for the Spider-Man sequel.

Below SONY gives Holland misleading information because of his big mouth.
