REMAKE The Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake has been officially announced, confirming the game fans have been waiting for. Playstation confirmed the game officially by dropping a trailer. Games Radar: While the teaser trailer was brief, clocking in at just over a minute, it did offer the silhouette of Darth Revan as a character, seemingly Bastilla, soliloquizes about the Sith. The trailer then shows Revan igniting his lightsaber, illuminating him and giving a look at his mask. The trailer flashes the remake’s logo before stating “a legend remade for PS5.”
Knights of the Old Republic is considered by many to be one of the best Star Wars games ever made. Developed by BioWare in the early 2000s, it offered a structure similar to Mass Effect – which it also helped inspire – allowing players to explore the galaxy and make decisions that would change the game’s ending. In the time since, it’s become something of a classic, a frame of reference for when fans ask about a Star Wars RPG.

FORAGING Meet Alexis Nikole Nelson. NPR: Known on social media as “Black Forager”, Nelson has drawn in more than 2 million followers. For those not familiar with the term, Nelson says foraging is essentially “a very fun way to say, I eat plants that do not belong to me and I teach other people how to do the same thing.” The videos she posts showcase her collecting and cooking everything from acorns to yellow dandelions to dead man’s fingers (AKA the seaweed codium fragile.)
For Nelson, foraging goes beyond rummaging around in other peoples’ shrubbery. It’s a way to connect with African American and indigenous food traditions that many people were discouraged — or actively prevented — from accessing.
