Tiffany Haddish Helps Combat Food Insecurity with Annual Hungerthon

Share

Tiffany Haddish has teamed up with America’s #1 gummy vitamin brand, as part of their partnership with WhyHunger to help raise $1M and make a positive impact by addressing the underlying issues at the root of hunger to build healthy, nourished communities across the U.S. and advancing the human right to nutritious food. “As a brand ambassador for vitafusion Gummy Vitamins, I am excited to help those in need with access to nutritious food heading into the holiday season and work with a brand that shares my commitment to supplying delicious nutrition for all,” says Tiffany Haddish. “What people eat can have a huge impact on their overall health. I love working with vitafusion to educate people about their health and remind them that not everyone has equal access to healthy food, which together we can help change.”

Building off a successful 2020 partnership with WhyHunger, vitafusion will continue its support by matching donations up to $100,000 in 2021* to help reach WhyHunger’s Hungerthon goal of raising $1M, to transform communities with healthy living opportunities and access to nutrition food. During WhyHunger’s 36th annual Hungerthon fundraiser and awareness drive on November 23rd, 2021, a multifaceted campaign that runs through the holiday season, donations raised will directly impact local food banks, food pantries, soup kitchens, and community farms helping address disparity of access to food and nutrition during the Thanksgiving holiday and encourage others to participate in taking the steps to end hunger. Last year’s initiative connected over 1 million individuals to free and nutritious food in their communities, with the goal to reach more this year, shedding light on the importance of food security and encouraging consumer participation.

WhyHunger’s Hungerthon campaign is an annual Thanksgiving radio tradition, since 1975, that educates listeners across the U.S. and raises critical funds to end hunger in America.

This holiday season, WhyHunger’s 36th Hungerthon brings together radio partners at Audacy New York, SiriusXM and iHeart New York with celebrity supporters including Yoko Ono Lennon and Bruce Springsteen, and fans like you to tackle the root causes of hunger in America and ensure everyone’s human right to nutritious food.

Hunger is not a new problem in America. COVID-19 has only exacerbated the social injustices that have long existed at the root of hunger, from racism to lack of a living wage. Today, more than 38 million Americans – including 1 in every 6 children – are struggling with hunger. Nearly 40% of Americans are living just one paycheck away from poverty, making impossible decisions between paying their bills, feeding their families or filling their prescriptions.  Hungerthon moves the needle beyond charity to strike at the root causes of hunger and fuel long-term solutions!

WhyHunger’s Hungerthon is grounded in the belief that hunger is solvable. Donate today to support community-based solutions to hunger across the U.S. that nourish people in immediate need and address the underlying issues at the root of hunger.

WhyHunger’s Hungerthon will run from November 1st through December 31st on air and at Hungerthon.org, with a specific emphasis on the weeks surrounding Thanksgiving.  This unique campaign includes radio broadcasts, exclusive online auctionssignature merchandise and social media activation via #Hungerthon. The live Hungerthon radio broadcast at Audacy New York will be Tuesday, November 23rd.

Since launching over three decades ago, Hungerthon has raised millions of dollars in the fight to end hunger and invest in community-driven solutions to build social justice for all.
