A Chicago Man Who’s Been Tasing and Robbing Men He Met Off of Grindr is Still-at-Large

A man has been meeting other for men on Grindr at their downtown hotel rooms, then tasing them upon arrival and robbing them.

The crimes have been occurring in the downtown Chicago since at least January 6, 2020.

Go Pride Chicago reports: “Chicago Police are searching for a man following a series of robberies in downtown hotels involving victims he met on Grindr. According to CWBChicago.com, at least three victims have been targeted since Jan. 6. The latest man was held-up Tuesday evening in a room at the Westin Michigan Avenue, 909 North Michigan. After meeting, the offender displayed a Taser, threatened the victim, and took his valuables. The robber is described as a black man, 6’2″ tall, 190 pounds, and about 26-years-old. He reportedly wore jeans and a denim jacket with a white fur lining on Tuesday night. The offender may have a heart-shaped tattoo near one eye.”
