Stewart Taylor’s ‘Cover Boy’ Is a Cheesy Breezy Throwback: WATCH

Share

Stewart Taylor’s new song and video “Cover Boy” is cheesy breezy throwback about falling in love.

Taylor says he was inspired to write “Cover Boy” after landing his first magazine cover for his last single, “Mess Your Hair Up.”

“I had just started dating someone new and I wanted to be his cover boy.”

Taylor ‘s voice and cadence are reminiscent of Robin Thicke’s early forays.

The video pays homage to Madonna and the movie Desperately Seeking Susan. “Hopefully  hardcore Madonna fans will get the references.”

Los Angeles based Taylor is a performer and MMG model who is mercurial enough to seamlessly collaborate with  songwriters and producers as diverse as Charlie Puth, (Wiz Khalifa) Kara DioGuardi, (P!nk, Katy Perry) Jayson DeZuzio, (Imagine Dragons), and David Pramik (Selena Gomez).

An active voice in the LGBT community, his coming out story was featured in the New York Times bestselling book, It Gets Better: Coming Out, Overcoming Bullying, and Creating A Life Worth Living. “Like a lot of us I struggled through the last year, but I’m emerging from the pandemic with a sense of purpose and driven to succeed more than ever.”
