Singer Todd Michael Schultz’s New Single ‘Games’ Was Inspired By a Meeting With Sia: LISTEN

Share

“Games” is the latest single release from pop singer songwriter Todd Michael Schultz.

According to Schultz, he used the advice of pop megastar Sia to write it. “Sia agreed to have dinner with me and give me some tips as a songwriter,” says Schultz. “All she said about songwriting that night was ‘tighten your metaphors’. But it resonated so deeply with me.”

“‘Games’ was born out of that dinner,” says Schultz.

Bong Mines Entertainment says of the single, “‘Games’ tells a heartfelt tale about a young guy who shares a problematic relationship with his significant other. Apparently, their love for each other does not exist on the same leveled playing field. His love for her is more like chess and her love for him is like checkers. Therefore, he realizes that something is severely wrong. And that’s when he decides to no longer allow his partner to play any more love games with his vulnerable heart.”

‘Games’ contains a relationship drama-based narrative, pleasing vocals, and tuneful melodies. Also, the likable tune possesses vibrant instrumentation flavored with nostalgic synth-pop and alternative ’80s-rock elements. Furthermore, writer and producer, Taylor Bird (The Jonas Brothers, Lindsey Stirling, and The Chainsmokers), produced the track.

Schultz has been releasing pop music since 2013, including such notable songs like 2015’s “Hotel”, “Sailor Moon,” and “The Sweet Life” with French Producer, Axero.
