Remembering Jeff Buckley on the 24 Anniversary of His Mysterious Death

Although a few of my friends (and some group members) knew and played with Jeff Buckley back when he was just another NYC musician trying to get ahead, I didn’t discover him until a few years after his death on May 29, 1997. Yesterday marked twenty-four years since he’s been gone.

Buckley’s brilliant GRACE was the only studio album he made before jumping into the Mississippi River, and it remains one of my favorites.

I’m sorry I never got a chance to see him perform, but I’m glad I did finally discover GRACE.
