Meet the Progressive Porn Stars that Got Racist Performer Billy Santoro Kicked Off ‘Just For Fans’ & Twitter

Share

Adult performers on Twitter contributed to the decision of JustForFans.com to delete Billy Santoro’s account Monday night after he posted a nasty, racist comment on Twitter. Santoro wrote: “Lol. America! Lol you let your blacks loot as a way of protest. Wake the fuck up. Shoot first.”

The tweet, which was later deleted can be seen in the screenshot below.

Tannor Reed has been one of the most outspoken critics and also the loudest voice reminding people about and encouraging them to vote in their presidential primaries, many that are happening this month. Owen Hawk  wrote, “Today lesson: when a gay porn star shows you he’s problematic, believe him. We took out some trash today but there is a long way to go to get our house clean…Much respect to those who have been calling this out. You know who you are and you were right all along.”

Reed responded: “Took a long time but we’re here.”

Reed again: “No more standing by and allowing it to happen. I’m proud of our industry today, but its not done.”

JustForFans tweeted after hearing about it: “And here we had a good day so I put my phone away to actually take a night off. And then I checked the phone to see all the messages. His account is gone. Policing is a slippery slope and we won’t be puppets to cancel culture. This was not debatable though. It was vile. BLM.”

Twitter also took down Santoro’s account. JustForFans had said earlier on Monday that it was adding Black Lives Matter to its charitable giving list.

Reed has followed up in the following days by promoting and amplifying Black performers and also admonishing his fans to vote, writing: “DC/ IOWA/ INDIANA/ MARYLAND/ MONTANA/ NEW MEXICO PENNSYLVANIA/ RHODE ISLAND/ SOUTH DAKOTA… VOTE! You have a primary today! Don’t let everything happening dissuade you from making it to the polls! Voting for local offices is the most tangible thing you can do to impact change!”

He added: “If your state isn’t voting today RETWEET I’ve voted in every election since I turned 18, and I thought this one was cancelled until this morning. Voter suppression is at an all time high, so retweet retweet retweet to make sure people know they can go and vote today!”

The ensuing discussion resulted in Xbiz to host industry voices in Town Hall Discussions on Race: XBIZ will host two virtual Town Hall meetings June 10-11 for open discussions on the specific issues of racism and discrimination in the adult industry from content production to retail. Industry stakeholders are invited to attend the Town Halls, listen to the participants and engage with the featured speakers via chat.

The first Town Hall, slated for Wednesday, June 10, at 11 a.m. (PDT) will focus on performers and production, from studio-shot content to independent creators.

The second Town Hall, scheduled for Thursday, June 11, at 11 a.m. (PDT) will bring in voices from adult retail and pleasure products.

A link to join both meetings will appear 15 minutes prior to the start of the event on the homepage of XBIZ.net and the XBIZ Facebook Group for adult retail members.

Industry members who do not have an XBIZ.net account are encouraged to register at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting to ensure timely account access.
