Legendary comic-book creator George Pérez has Stage 3 pancreatic cancer and has six months to live. Pérez made the announcement today on is Facebook page.
Pérez is largely considered one of the most prolific and sought after artists working in comics today. He is mostly recognized for his contributions to the New Teen Titans and the continuity reboot project known as the Crisis on Infinite Earths.
In addition, he is also hailed for revitalizing Wonder Woman to the point where Patty Jenkins, director of the successful 2017 Wonder Woman feature film, considers his work on the character on par with the character’s original creator, William Moulton Marston.

On January 18, 2019, Pérez announced his retirement.
