RESTORE THE SNYDERVERSE Zack Snyder’s Justice League is a blockbuster. Collider: In just three days since its release, Zack Snyder’s Justice League has crossed over 100,000 streams sold, including those sold in the pre-booking phase on BookMyShow Stream. The Snyder Cut, which premiered on HBO Max, was simultaneously released on BookMyShow Stream on March 18, and the film has already surpassed all previous streaming records on the platform, including the total streams for Tenet.

And now fans want the return of the Snyderverse. That is the vision that he was supposed to bring to the DC Cinematic Universe. Over 1.2 million people have tweeted their support. Will this change the course of Warner Bros. future?

MONSTER MASH Godzilla V King Kong drops Tuesday but the reviews are in. The New York Post says, “With the latest entry in the MonsterVerse series, “Godzilla vs. Kong” — in theaters and HBO Max on Wednesday — Wingard was determined to treat the two titular creatures not as hulking, unfeeling beasts, but as “fully fleshed-out” characters.  At least as much as was allowed.  Godzilla was a bigger challenge than Kong, because Toho, the Japanese company that owns the kaiju (strange beast), has strict rules about what can and can’t be done with him.”

“There’s literally a guy at Toho, I think his actual title is Chief Godzilla Officer, whose whole job is to keep up with what Godzilla should do,” Wingard said. “Godzilla is a godlike presence, you can’t show him eat things and you can’t show him emote.”

How do the two famous movie monsters stack up?

GODZILLA

Height: 393 feet

Powers: Atomic breath, using his tail like a club

He’s survived attacks by humans, battles with giant monsters and an awful 1998 Roland Emmerich reboot. At this point, it’s safe to say Godzilla is nearly unkillable and dominates among the kaiju.

KING KONG

Height: 300+ feet

Weapon: An axe made from Godzilla’s dorsal fin

They don’t call him King for nothing. The giant gorilla is a ferocious fighter, and in his previous battle with his nemesis in 1963’s “King Kong vs. Godzilla,” Kong seemingly bested Godzilla after wrestling him off a cliff and into the sea.

TWITTER CEO Jack Dorsey admitted that the social media website contributed to the  Capitol riots. SF Gate: Rep. Mike Doyle, D-Pa., asked during a Thursday hearing whether social media services contributed to the spread of misinformation that led to the Jan. 6 events, and Dorsey was the lone tech executive to say “yes.” The unrest at the Capitol on Jan. 6 left five dead, including a Capitol police officer.

Dorsey did attach a caveat to his response: “But you also have to take into consideration the broader ecosystem,” he said, per the New York Times. “It’s not just about the technological systems that we use.”

SECOND TIME‘S the charm. James Gunn tweeted the new Suicide Squad poster ahead of the trailer today.

The film’s official logline reads as follows:

Welcome to hell—a.k.a. Belle Reve, the prison with the highest mortality rate in the US of A. Where the worst Super-Villains are kept and where they will do anything to get out—even join the super-secret, super-shady Task Force X. Today’s do-or-die assignment? Assemble a collection of cons, including Bloodsport, Peacemaker, Captain Boomerang, Ratcatcher 2, Savant, King Shark, Blackguard, Javelin and everyone’s favorite psycho, Harley Quinn. Then arm them heavily and drop them (literally) on the remote, enemy-infused island of Corto Maltese. Trekking through a jungle teeming with militant adversaries and guerrilla forces at every turn, the Squad is on a search-and-destroy mission with only Colonel Rick Flag on the ground to make them behave…and Amanda Waller’s government techies in their ears, tracking their every movement. The Suicide Squad is written and directed by Gunn with Charles Roven and Peter Safran serving as producers and Nik Korda executive producing the movie, which will hit theaters and HBO Max on August 6. Watch the trailer below.
