Is Netflix’s ‘Wu Assassins’ the First Kung Fu Gay Love Story?

NETFLIX’S upcoming series Wu Assassins, “follows Kai Jin (Iko Uwais), a young Chinatown chef in present-day San Francisco as he becomes entangled with the Chinese Triad’s pursuit of deadly ancient powers known as the “Wu Xing.” After an encounter with a mystical spirit, Kai reluctantly becomes the Wu Assassin (Mark Dacascos), using his enhanced martial arts skills to recover supernatural powers from five modern-day criminals threatening to use them to destroy the world.”

In the action-packed trailer for upcoming martial arts/fantasy series, Wu Assassins, two female characters – played by Vikings star Katheryn Winnick and Firefly icon Summer Glau – lock lips in a blink-or-miss-it moment.

Created by John Wirth and Tony Krantz, Wu Assassins also stars Iko Uwais, Byron Mann, Lewis Tan, Tommy Flanagan, Tzi Ma, Lawrence Kao, Celia Au, JuJu Chan and Mark Dacascos. It will premiere on August 8th on Netflix.
