“In less than a week,” Gus Kenworthy said to The Ellen Degeneres Show on Twitter, “I’m gonna be biking 545 miles for the @AIDSLifeCycle. I’m raising money to fight HIV/ AIDS and I’d love your support!”

Or as he posted on Instagram, “Looking for a big, fat, juicy… donation.”

As of today, Kenworthy has raised over $200K towards his $1 million goal.

Kenworthy has been generous, giving his fans what they *ahem* want (see below), so let’s push him over the edge.

Today, AIDS/LifeCycle announced today that participants raised more than $16.7 million—the highest fundraising amount in the history of the event—to support San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the HIV/AIDS-related services of the Los Angeles LGBT Center. “AIDS/LifeCycle is the world’s largest single event HIV/AIDS fundraiser. More than 2,200 cyclists pedaled out of Cow Palace this morning on the 26th year of riding to end AIDS with more than 650 volunteer ‘roadies’ supporting them during the 7-day, 545-mile journey.”

AIDS/LifeCycle is a fully supported, 545-mile bike ride—not a race—that raises important awareness about the ongoing HIV/AIDS epidemic, in addition to funding critical services such as HIV testing and screenings for other sexually transmitted infections, HIV medical care, prevention services, and more.

AIDS/LifeCycle’s sponsors are Gilead, FedEx, Wells Fargo, and United Airlines.

The official bike sponsor is Cannondale.
