Harry Styles Kicked Off The Grammys With An Amazing Performance Of ‘Watermelon Sugar’ Nabbed Best Solo Performance Win—WATCH

Share

Harry Styles opened the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards Sunday night with a riveting performance of his hit song “Watermelon Sugar.”

“I feel incredibly lucky to get to work in music and make music as my job every day, and this is an incredibly sweet icing on the cake of what I get to do,” Harry Styles said backstage in the #GRAMMYS press room following his best pop solo performance win.

THR:  The singer took to the stage in a dark Gucci leather suit with a furry green scarf, and began the song softly. Behind him, his band and dancers were similarly dressed, and Styles threw glances to them regularly during his performance. As Styles removed his scarf, he was not wearing a shirt under his suit jacket. At that point, the entire performance ramped up with more energy.

Styles won best pop solo performance for “Watermelon Sugar” and was nominated best music video for “Adore You,” but lost out to Beyoncé.
