Y: THE LAST MAN is finally coming! Brian K. Vaughn’s epic series debuts September 13, 2021. Based on DC Comics’ acclaimed series, Y: The Last Man traverses an apocalyptic world in which a cataclysmic event decimates every mammal with a Y chromosome but for one cisgender man and his pet monkey.
Vaughn wrote: Twenty years since @pia.guerra and I started working on the first issue, and absolutely worth the wait. Thanks to showrunner @elizaaclarkw and everyone who worked so hard to make this happen.
HE’S NOT WRONG I’m just saying.

Comicbook.com: Speed Racer is trending again and fans are showing this movie all the love. Last year, the film came up on Twitter too, and the outpouring was similar. Back then, it was for the anime that inspired the Wachowskis’ work. But this time, the 2008 movie gets the spotlight all to itself. Lilly Wachowski has been very thankful to all the fans out there who still remember and cherish Speed Racer. She’s been on the record as saying that it was a huge developmental moment for her. Some of the reactions to the duo’s later work led her to seek some time for herself, ”I got in when film was at its peak, before boards and marketers found a way to wrangle movies…Eventually, all those people and institutions ended up in the room with you and specifically behind the typewriter and behind the lens and behind the Avid. It created a bit of tension for me personally. I got to this breaking point and I had to walk away.”
Go watch Speed Racer (2008) it is easily one of the most creative and beautiful films I have ever seen! Absolutely a blast! Perfectly captures the original anime. #speedracer pic.twitter.com/7MpI0jsJY6

I’m so thankful to be able to celebrate this year, following a year of social distancing. I’m thankful for the vaccine for allowing us to celebrate love and community together again. I’m thankful for the health care workers who made made this all possible. And I’m thankful for all the LGBTQ community and allies who make me feel loved year after year. Go get vaccinated, it’s time to celebrate this amazing month!

EXPECTING TWINS Lance Bass and husband Michael Turchin. People broke the news Tuesday (June 1) that the former *NSYNC member and film actor, who have been married since 2014, are expecting a boy and a girl in November via surrogate.
“It has been quite the journey,” Bass said in an interview with the publication before the two delved into their years-long history of surrogacy attempts and a miscarriage. “Because of what we’ve been through the last four years, we were very cautious to get excited. And it kind of sucks because when you find out you’re pregnant, you want to celebrate with your family. You start planning their future in your head already, but we were so scared because we didn’t want to go through the pain again of losing them.”
MEET Louis X. Major. The Queer Review: New Orleans-based queer singer-songwriter-producer @louisxmajor tells The Queer Review about his new pop single King Energy, released Friday June 4th on all streaming platforms, with the video for the track premiering on @youtube on the same day. “With this song, I hope to inspire people to follow their passions. Whatever they may be. It’s so important to trust yourself. King Energy is the perfect song for strutting yourself and owning exactly who you are. Anyone can be a king.”
“The song was inspired by the moment I chose to go after a career in music. Despite knowing my own talents and capabilities, for years I told myself that it wasn’t a “realistic” goal. There was a lot of self-doubt and insecurity. But after some really honest conversations with myself, I realized the only person holding me back was me.”

GAY DYNASTY The Tiger King movie is coming whether we like it or not.
Variety: Dennis Quaid will play Rick Kirkham in the upcoming Peacock series “Joe Exotic.” Kirkham, an American journalist based in Norway, was the “Tiger King’s” reality show producer. Quaid joins previously announced series leads Kate McKinnon, who will play Carole Baskin, and John Cameron Mitchell, who will play Joe Exotic. It was also recently announced that Brian Van Holt will play John Reinke, Sam Keeley will play John Finlay and Natt Wolff will play Travis Maldonado.
The upcoming #JoeExotic series is building out its cast: Kate McKinnon, John Cameron Mitchell, Dennis Quaid, Nat Wolff and more have all signed on for the adaptation of the #TigerKing saga https://t.co/tEwPOFuHSl pic.twitter.com/iumlly6h1c

Adapted from the Wondery Podcast of the same name, “Joe Exotic” centers on Carole Baskin (McKinnon), a big cat enthusiast, who learns that fellow exotic animal lover Joe “Exotic” Schreibvogel (Mitchell) is breeding and using his big cats for profit. She sets out to shut down his venture, inciting a quickly escalating rivalry. But Carole has a checkered past of her own and when the claws come out, Joe will stop at nothing to expose what he sees as her hypocrisy. The results prove dangerous.

Taking photos of the night as a way to unwind. I sit there while the image exposes and look up at the stars and feel the proper size in relationship to everything else. Which is very small, in a wonderful way.

THE OUT LIST is ten years old. Director Sam McConnell wrote on Instagram: “Here’s a #pride throwback – I can’t believe we started filming The Out List for HBO 10 years (!) ago this month. Here are some snaps from the studio. I produced the film with director / photographer Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, Tommy Walker and an awesome team, and had the honor of conducting the interviews and meeting some of my heroes along the way.
If you’re looking for something to watch during #pridemonth, The Out List (and The Trans List) are now streaming on HBO Max. It holds up… mostly!

ICE CREAM TRUCKS got us thinking about Cazwell who writes on Instagram: Top down w/ @peppermint247 on our way to buy a hot tub to install in the back of the whip. We are removing the back seat to make sure out hot tub fits 4 comfortably. We are looking for an unpaid intern that would like to drive us up and down the west coast while we pick up an assortment of men to join us in our jacuzzi on wheels. You must have an unblemished driving record. Thanks!
