SUMMER’S 5 MUST SEE SCI FI FLICKS The New York Times has picked a handful of scifi thrillers they recommend this summer including the Jason Taylor produced 2067 .
2067: What matters in this Australian eco-dystopia is the human element. More specifically Kodi Smit-McPhee’s performance as Ethan, a lowly worker who is sent from 2067, when an oxygen-starved Earth is in its death throes, to a time centuries ahead that may hold the key to salvation. Tall and slightly gaunt, with wide-spaced eyes that give him a haunted look, Smit-McPhee — first noticed 12 years ago as the young boy in the adaptation of the Cormac McCarthy post-apocalyptic novel “The Road” — does not resemble the he-men usually assigned to single-handedly rescue the world. But that’s exactly what makes him so distinctively appealing here.

I assumed the term in question was the “bundle” definition – perhaps a bundle of aromatics, e.g., bay, parsley, etc. But there are other sauces which I’d imagine would also use aromatics in this way, and that term isn’t used. So it got me looking around…
I looked at Oxford English Dictionary, and there is a definition from the culinary world: “a ball or roll of seasoned chopped liver, baked or fried.” However, it doesn’t seem likely this would be applicable here. Further, the word typically used for this is faggots.

MAP QUEST Where exactly are Metropolis and Gotham cities supposed to be located IRL? In Batman Vs Superman: The Dawn of Justice the two cities are located across a river from each other, something that is canon. Diverse Tech Geek: The idea of Gotham and Metropolis as closely neighboring cities is probably what’s led to some of the more prominent state locations in comics. During the Bronze Age (1970s and 80s), it was common, particularly in World’s Finest Comics, to present Metropolis and Gotham City as twin cities on opposite sides of a large bay. Among the routes connecting the cities included the occasionally featured “Metro-Narrows Bridge,” a long suspension bridge resembling the real-world Verrazano-Narrows Bridge in New York.
As for which state or states, a map featured in a 1978 Sunday episode of the JLA-starring newspaper comic “World’s Greatest Super Heroes” featured Gotham City specifically in southern New Jersey, with Metropolis across Delaware Bay over in Delaware:
A variation of the map (complete with the Metro-Narrows Bridge) appeared in New Adventures of Superboy #22 in 1981. The general geographic features (including a bay) were kept, but no state names were given. Per pre-Crisis canon, Smallville is shown as located near Metropolis’ east coast location; post-Crisis, Clark Kent’s hometown would be moved to Kansas.
The story in World’s Finest #259 in 1979 is one example of Metropolis and Gotham City as twin cities. The story features an alien artifact compelling millions of Gothamites to flee the city for Metropolis.
