TRAILER OF THE DAY As the unambiguous swan song for Daniel Craig’s tenure as James Bond 007, the question at the forefront of every fan’s mind is whether this will be the Bond movie to finally kill off the superspy or if he’ll be allowed to drive off into the sunset of retirement. This trailer gives no indication either way, but what’s certain is that we’ll be saying farewell to Craig’s Bond one way or another.

COMBAT ZOOM FATIGUE Whether you use Teams, Zoom, Skype, Slack, or any video conferencing platform, back-to-back video meetings can make you feel drained, tired, and stressed. Stanford University is studying the impacts of “Zoom fatigue” and what contributes to it. They’re currently monitoring whether it can have an impact on life outside of work, like feeling too tired to do other daily tasks, or even impacting our eyesight.

In Reviews.org’s survey, they asked respondents if they’d like something that could scan their calendar and warn them of video call fatigue before it hits – and 73% said yes. To combat “Zoom Fatigue”, they’ve built a tool that works with Google Chrome to measure how many hours of meetings are in your Google Calendar. It will warn you if you’re likely to feel video call fatigue during the day and week. You can download the app here.

HIV The Pandemic Is Bringing Us Closer to the First HIV Vaccine. Filter: Moderna will soon begin the first-ever human clinical trials for a messenger RNA-based HIV vaccine, utilizing the same technology as its COVID vaccine. The trials could potentially begin as soon as this week, though they have not started recruiting as of publication time. Moderna will recruit 56 HIV-negative adults to enroll in Phase I. It will be testing two mRNA-based vaccines. Moderna’s and Pfizer’s COVID vaccines are mRNA-based, while Johnson & Johnson’s is not.

In the 37 years since HIV was identified as the virus that causes AIDS, no vaccine against it has ever been approved. That’s not for lack of trying: Five HIV vaccines have made it through clinical trials as far as Phase 3, the final step toward the Food and Drug Administration approving a drug as safe and effective.
