TAKE A SEAT ON PETE Erick Sanchez, creator of the Fouch on the Couch pillow and political consultant, has just launched a new pillow in honor of Secretary Mayor Pete, known as ‘Pete on the Seat.’ The pillow is the latest in the collection that includes Dr. Fauci, Bernie Sanders, and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. “This pillow will absolutely be a part of your living room’s infrastructure,” said Sanchez. “I’m thrilled to honor Secretary Mayor Pete as he continues to demonstrate bold and strong leadership.”

The espresso drink will be joining pumpkin spice latte and pumpkin cream cold brew on the coffee chain’s fall menu this year, which returns to cafes in the U.S. and Canada on Tuesday. The macchiato, an espresso drink with a splash of foam on top, has been on Starbucks’ menu for more than four decades. This version is made with apple and brown sugar flavors and topped with a caramelized apple drizzle, made with apple puree. Customers can have the beverage either hot or iced.

In less than a week, he said, the mood in Afghanistan’s underground gay community went from clandestine freedom to outright panic. “We cannot go out because we are just scared for our lives,” said “Ghulam,” 21, who dropped out of his college classes and has closeted himself at home amid the Taliban takeover.
