The Los Angeles Times: Mulaney and Tendler are getting a divorce after nearly seven years of marriage, a representative for the comedian confirmed to The Times on Monday. The news coincides with Mulaney’s post-rehab return to stand-up comedy with a string of sold-out shows that begins tonight at New York’s City Winery.

“John will not have any further comment as he continues to focus on his recovery and getting back to work,” a spokesperson for Mulaney told the New York Post’s Page Six, which broke the news Monday.
In December, the 38-year-old comic and “Big Mouth” star checked into a Pennsylvania facility for a 60-day stint to treat his alcohol and cocaine addictions. He has been in outpatient care since February. “I am heartbroken that John has decided to end our marriage,” a representative for Tendler told Page Six, which The Times also confirmed. “I wish him support and success as he continues his recovery.”

THROWBACK DC Comic’s golden age Wesley Dodds turned 82 years old about a week ago. He first appearing in New York World’s Fair Comics in 1939.
One of the first costumed characters to emerge from DC Comics after the success of Superman, the Sandman seems as much a pulp magazine character as a super-hero as we think of them.
Created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Bert Christman, he was originally attired in a green business suit, a fedora, and a World War I gas mask. The Sandman used a gun emitting a sleeping gas to sedate criminals. He was originally one of the mystery men to appear in comic books and other types of adventure fiction in the 1930s but later was outfitted with a unitard/cowl costume and developed into a proper superhero, acquiring sidekick Sandy, and founding the Justice Society of America.
A transitional character between pulp heroes like Doc Savage, the Shadow and the Spider, and costumed crime-fighters such as Batman and Captain America. After the World’s Fair one-shot, Sandman began appearing in Adventure Comics beginning in issue 40 from that same year.
