MEME OF THE DAY South Park‘s Cartman has some thoughts on what being non-binary means.

BREATHE “If you’re struggling today give yourself a little break,” wrote singer/songwriter Noah Norstein on FB. “If today you got up and showered, thats something to be proud of. When life is crumbling in on you it’s such a powerful thing to be able to muster up even the simplest of tasks. Your house may look like a hurricane hit it but you got up and did the dishes today. Step outside and let the sun on your face feel your breath as you inhale and grab this moment as hard as you can and hold on tight. Ride this wave that seems to never end. If you need to talk I’m a message away.”

MAGIC MUSHROOMS are now legal in Oregon. According to Oregon Live, “The measure, backed by chief petitioners wife-and-husband Sheri and Thomas Eckert of Beaverton, will allow regulated use of psychedelic mushrooms in a therapeutic setting. The Eckerts, both psychotherapists, told The Oregonian/OregonLive that psilocybin could help people struggling with issues from depression to anxiety to addiction.

Recent research at universities including Johns Hopkins, Imperial College in London and the University of California, Los Angeles, have shown promising results of psilocybin therapy on depression, PTSD and addiction. “We need options. And this is a valid therapeutic option that could help thousands of people,” Tom Eckert told The Oregonian/OregonLive in September.
