The sum total of which was an incredibly valuable social capital she wielded to rule those shallow, hallowed hierarchical halls.”

HUNDREDS OF YOUNG PEOPLE HAVE BEEN KILLED BY COVID-19 The Washington Post reports, “at least 759 people under age 50 across the United States have perished amid the deepening pandemic, according to a Washington Post analysis of state data. These deaths underscore the tragic fact that while the novel coronavirus might be most threatening to the old and compromised, no one is immune. The true number of deaths among young people is probably even higher. Not all states provide data on coronavirus deaths sorted by age group. Some, like New Jersey and Texas, provided figures after being approached by The Post, while others, like California, did not. As a result, the figures above do not include data from some states, including several with sizable outbreaks.”

A DANK DEATH According to The Denver Post, “Charlotte Figi, the young Colorado Springs girl whose battle with Dravet syndrome inspired changes to medical marijuana laws, has died after suffering an illness her family suspects was the new coronavirus. She was 13 years old. In a statement provided to The Denver Post, Charlotte’s mother, Paige Figi, said the whole family got sick in early March, but because their symptoms did not all fit within the criteria for COVID-19, they were told to self-treat at home. Charlotte was admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit on Friday after her symptoms worsened and was treated on the floor specifically designated for COVID-19 patients.”
