For those of you that thought the ever-expanding list of letters to describe the LGBTQAI+ community is getting too long, wait until you see it on a street sign.
For two weeks, Gay Street will be called “Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Trans, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, Nonbinary, Pansexual, Two Spirit, + Street.”
“Well this was fucking awesome. #gay#lesbian#bisexual#trans#queer#intersex#asexual#nonbinary#pansexual#twospirit #+ #worldpridenyc#liveyourtruth#loveislove#greenwichvillage — at Gay Street (Manhattan).”
It’s actually a campaign by MasterCard to relabel the street “acceptance” street, as in their tag line, “Accepted everywhere.”
Watch below.
No matter how big the community grows, there’s room for everyone, because #AcceptanceMatters. In partnership with @NYCCHR, we made some additions to the corner of Christopher & Gay St. in NYC. #StartSomethingPriceless pic.twitter.com/3GfLyKmNqg
