Madonna will be performing at Pride Island for WorldPride on Sunday, June 30, 2019.

Tickets for Sunday’s Pride Island festival sold out months ago, while many fans bought tickets hoping that Madonna would be the headline performer for the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots—there’d been no official confirmation until today.

“I will be on Pride Island, where I was born,” said Madonna in a video on the Today Show. She made the announcement while draped in one of her Madame X Rainbow Flags.

“The community called loud and clear for an appearance by Madonna at Pride Island for WorldPride and the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising. I’m thrilled to report that Madonna and WorldPride NYC delivered on that call,” said Chris Frederick, NYC Pride’s Executive Director, “This is going to be a night that our Pride Island guests will remember for the rest of their lives.”

Madonna will debut, “Dark Ballet” on June 7 from her 14th studio album Madame X.

Madonna’s partnered with The Trevor Project for the entire month of June. All of the proceeds from the exclusive, limited edition Madame X Pride collection will be donated to the organization.

The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people under 25.

Madonna will officially be appearing at Pride Island in New York City on June 30 to perform several songs. Tickets to the event sold out in March after rumors spread about Madonna’s possible attendance.
