Shortly after calling the Presidential election, Van Jones delivered an emotional reaction about what it means for the future of America. He was moved to tears and silence as he collected himself, describing his feelings on a Biden win after four years of divisive, toxic rhetoric from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Often getting choked up and having to restart Jones said, “It’s easier to be a parent this morning,” Jones began, no doubt echoing the feelings of millions all around the country. (As a new parent myself, that’s certainly where my head was at.) The rest of his words, and the emotion behind them, seem like they’re addressed directly to his children, and to all the children around the U.S. who can once again look forward to having role models in the president and vice president.”
Today is a good day.
It’s easier to be a parent this morning.
Being a good person MATTERS.
This is a big deal.
It’s easy to do it the cheap way and get away with stuff — but it comes back around.
