Comic-Book dot com reported:

CBS All Access today revealed the official key art poster for Star Trek: Picard. The poster shows Jean-Luc Picard, played by the returning Patrick Stewart, standing next to a dog.

The dog’s collar reveals his new best friend has the same name as an old best friend and colleague, Commander William Riker aka Number One.

The original series’ Number One (played in the pilot The Cage by Trek stalwart and creator Gene Roddenberry’s wife Majel Barrett) was seen recently portrayed by Rebecca Romijn in Star Trek: Discovery.

It is hard to tell for certain from the poster, but the dog appears to be a pit bull, a bread that Stewart has championed in his own life. Seeing Picard with an adorable pup like this one has Star Trek fans more excited than ever about Stewart’s upcoming return.

In addition to Stewart, the new Star Trek series also stars Alison Pill, Harry Treadaway, Isa BrionesEvan EvagoraSantiago Cabrera and Michelle Hurd. The third and fourth episodes of the series will be directed by Stewart’s The Next Generation co-star Jonathan Frakes.

There is still no official release date, but Picard is expected to debut this fall.
