Cleveland Gay Bar to Close Its Doors

Share

All Axs, a gay bar in Willoughby, a suburb of Cleveland Ohio is closing its doors after only a year.

According to Cleve Scene magazine, “Owner Billy Welker explained that the last day for business at the 4027 Erie Street location is Saturday, Feb. 1, but that plans are already underway for a fresh venture.
The new and larger spot in Mentor-on-the-Lake should be open sometime next month, the owner assured, and will be renamed Valhalla. At about a 1,000-person capacity, the space will offer more room for drag shows, concerts and other events that All Axs was known for.”

The full Facebook post read, “It’s impossible to count the memories, fun times, and friendships we have made at All Axs. Whether you’ve wandered in off the Downtown Willoughby strip, looked forward to shows every weekend or became family, we’ve very much cherished this time together. That is why it’s with an extremely heavy heart we have to announce that All Axs will have it’s last day of operations this Saturday, February 1st.
Everyone here at All Axs would love for you to come out this Saturday and join us for one last time with live performances and dancing!  While All Axs is closing, We are excited to announce our staff will be moving to a new venue, music hall, and show bar called Valhalla. Valhalla will be opening this February and will be located in Mentor on the Lake, Ohio. Valhalla will be able to hold about a thousand people and will have a full kitchen, an impressive stage, incredible lighting effects and an amazing sound system. This new venue will also include an enhanced VIP section for all your private event needs. The move to this new venue is going to allow the ability to expand and accommodate national headlining acts such as musicians, drag queens, and various other performers and events. Our plans for Valhalla don’t stop there and we will be working on continuing to host the same events we had at All Axs but in a larger enhanced space with a more exciting atmosphere.
We will post more information about Valhalla and it’s social media and website information in the near future. We hope to see you all at our new location and are excited for you to join us on our new adventure!
Thank you all and We love you,
The All Axs Family”
