Barack & Michelle Obama Shade Trump, Praise Baltimore High School Students in Wake of President’s Remarks: WATCH

IN WHAT CLEARLY were meant as responses to President Trump’s unhinged Tweets directed at Rep. Elijah Cummings and the City of Baltimore, (Trump referred to the city as being “disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess” and a “dangerous & filthy place”), while simultaneously suggesting Rep. Cummings tend to his own district instead of criticizing the situation at the southern border (people locked in cages, child separations, etc.)–both Michelle and Barack Obama responded on social media without ever mentioning the president.

People magazine reported:

Hours later on Saturday the former first lady, 55, voiced her pride for a dance team from Baltimore in honor of National Dance Day, though she didn’t respond directly to Trump’s comments.

“On #NationalDanceDay, I’m shouting out the Lethal Ladies, a Baltimore STEP team who I saw perform back in 2017,” Obama wrote alongside a video of the group. “I’m so proud of you all—and everyone who’s dancing today!”

Ironically, the girls use Michelle’s signature slogan, “When they go low, we go high!” in their dance routine. One of the girls even makes reference to bullying, saying, “we don’t stoop to their level.” It couldn’t be a more clear shot at President Trump.

Barack Obama also appeared to respond to Trump’s vicious tweets with an op-ed in the Washington Post, in which Obama condemns Trump’s “go back” attacks.
