A statement released with the annoucnement also stated that another goal of the Feel Something Foundation is to “abolish ‘coming out’ as a term used to define someone simply being themselves.” The singer has spoken at length about his difficult experience with coming out to the general public after his American Idol stint, which included months of speculation about his sexuality, despite the fact that he was already out to his friends and family.

For those looking to contribute to the organization, the statement also read that there will be fundraising opportunities held in the near future of the campaign. The first, which will be “initiated in the coming weeks,” will offer fans an opportunity to bid on and purchase some of Lambert’s best outfits from his decade-spanning career.
