Actor DJ Qualls Comes Out, Says He’s ‘Been Gay this Whole Time’

Actor DJ Qualls, who often played the quirky nerd on a number of hit movies including Road Trip, The New Guy, and Hustle & Flow has come out as gay.
His diminutive size and look is the result of having (successfully) battled Hodgkins disease (a form of cancer) as a teenager.
Qualls came out during a Jim Jefferies show Friday night in San Diego, he made the announcement on Twitter. “It is 11:20pm,” Qualls wrote, “I just came out on stage at a @jimjefferiesshow in San Diego. Yep, I’m gay. Been gay this whole time. Tired of worrying about what people would think of me. Tired of worrying about what it would do to my career.”
