29 Years Sober, Elton John Is Eternally Grateful

SIR ELTON JOHN once said his sobriety has brought him everything that he could possibly wish for.

The legendary musician posted on Instagram today, “29 years ago today, I was a broken man. I finally summoned up the courage to say 3 words that would change my life: “I need help”. Thank-you to all the selfless people who have helped me on my journey through sobriety. I am eternally grateful.”

The biopic of John’s life, Rocketman was released in May and was one of the summer’s biggest hits.
